Como un hueso sin carne, como un árbol destruido por la deforestación o un río seco es como se ven los leones del zoológico de la capital de Sudán, debido a que los empleados no tienen dinero para comprar alimento o medicamento.
Defensores locales de los derechos animales han compartido imágenes en redes sociales y, aunque el hecho hizo eco, dos leonas del parque Al-Qurashi en Jartum murieron, según informó el activista Zuhair Al-Sarag.
Hasta el momento muchos animales han muerto o han sido desalojados, y en el interior del zooligico solo quedan tres leones y una leona que lucen hasta los huesos.
“Esto en realidad es un crimen. Se debe responsabilizar a alguien”, argumenta Al-Sarag.
Pese a la crisis que viven los habitantes de Sudán, se organizaron para ayudar y alimentar a los felinos. Incluso, organizaciones internacionales se han sumado al rescate.
