En un partido de volteretas que terminó muy caliente, la Selección de Suiza se impusó tres goles a dos a su similar de Serbia. En un partido de vida muerte para ambos equipos, el perderor volvería a casa y el ganador pasaría a la siguiente ronda de la Copa del Mundo de Qatar 2022.

Xherdan Shaqiri abrió el marcador para Suiza al 20', anotando en su tercer Mundial consecutivo. Seis minutos más tarde, Aleksander Mitrović igualó el encuentro y al 36' Dusan Vlahovic de dio la vuelta al compromiso.

Voltereta de Suiza contra Serbia

En la segunda parte ocurrió la segunda voltereta del partido con goles de Breel Embolo al 44' y Remo Freuler al 48'.

Con este resultado Serbia está elminada del certamen y Suiza se enfrentará a Portugal en los Octavos de Final de Qatar 2022.
