La Monumental Plaza de Toros de México, en la capital del país, fue testigo del que será muy posiblemente, el último partido de Rafael Nadal en territorio nacional.

Mientras que la ‘Fiera’ se presentó en tierra azteca en un partido de exhibición con aires de despido, Casper Ruud, el actual número tres del mundo la Clasificación ATP, aseguró que volverá a México. “Nos vemos en Acapulco”, declaró el tenista noruego.

Entre miles de mexicanos volcados en muestras de apoyo hacía el español, se escuchaban canticos en el recinto con frases como: “Rafa, hermano, ya eres mexicano” y “Olé, olé Rafa”.

Rafael Nadal vs Casper Ruud en la Monumental Plaza de Toros de México

Los protagonistas de la final de Roland Garros del año en curso, disputaron un primer set digno de Master 1000, incluso de Grand Slam. En la segunda manga, los jugadores se relajaron e hicieron vibrar al Coso de Insurgentes con rallies extensos, golpes entre las piernas y puntos de fantasía.

El resultado final fue 7-6, 6-4 a favor del de Manacor.
