Max Verstappen ganó este domingo el Gran Premio de Austria, un desafío en el que el holandés aprovechó de las fallas de los Mercedes para arribar en el primer lugar, seguido de los pilotos de Ferrari Kimi Raikkonen y Sebastian Vettel, quienes fueron segundo y tercero.
El piloto alemán Sebastian Vettel retomó este domingo el liderato del campeonato Mundial de la Fórmula Uno al conseguir un tercer puesto y las unidades necesarias para superar apenas por un punto a su rival, Lewis Hamilton, quien en la recta final de la competencia dejó el Red Bull Ring por problemas en su motor.
Para las Flechas Plateadas fue una carrera para el olvido, pues en el giro 14 de 71, Valtteri Bottas se retiró por fallas mecánicas.
En el noveno desafío del año, Sergio Pérez pudo revivir en un evento en el que parecía tener pocas oportunidades saliendo del décimo séptimo puesto, pues terminó la carrera sin problemas y con un séptimo puesto que le hizo romper la mala racha que tenía sin sumar.
