Este juego disputado en la Cancha Central rompió el récord de más minutos jugados en el presente torneo (pertenecía a Bedene vs Albot con 4 horas y 21 minutos).
Rafa se instaló en las instancias de semifinal, en donde se medirá ante el serbio Novak Djokovic, que hizo lo propio frente aKei Nishikori.
El nacido en Mallorca buscará sumar su tercer título en Wimbledon, ya que este también lo logró en 2008 y 2010.
